SPELAB New Product - DPF Dual Pipes

SPELAB is both an EGR delete shop and a DPF delete shop.Between January 9th and 14th, 2024, SPELAB is set to introduce 14 new DPF system products. Before this, all SPELAB DPF pipes were single pipes. We've taken consumer feedback, consulted our product development manager, and conducted market research to curate these 14 unique products. Below, I'll detail some of the new releases.

Regarding these new products, rather than presenting each individually, I'll categorize them by their distinguishing features:

Dual Pipes

Currently, our five dual-pipe options are all without mufflers.DPF dual pipes are an enhanced design for diesel vehicle DPF systems. This design incorporates two diesel particulate filters, typically referred to as the primary filter and the secondary filter.

Why no mufflers?

For one, automotive enthusiasts, especially those interested in sports cars or modifications, prefer a louder exhaust note. The sound emitted during engine revs or when the vehicle is in motion tends to evoke a thrilling sensation. Additionally, it enhances the exhaust system's performance. At SPELAB, we prioritize user experience, thus aiming to meet user preferences.

Why dual pipes?

DPF dual pipes represent an enhanced design for diesel car DPF systems. This design employs two diesel particulate filters—typically known as the main filter and the secondary filter.

Why choose dual pipes?

Simply put:

Compatibility with specific vehicle models

Efficient exhaust

Reduced wear and prolonged lifespan

Are dual pipes legal?

This is a concern for many. The design of dual pipes itself is not illegal. However, in certain regions, especially in some countries or states, laws and regulations exist that specify precise requirements and restrictions for vehicle emission systems. Additionally,

A note

DPF with dual-pipe designs might better suit specific vehicle emission systems, usually engineered by automobile manufacturers based on their engineering needs. However, retrofitting a vehicle originally designed with a single pipe to use a dual-pipe DPF is feasible but may require modifications to the emission system, engine control unit, among other components. It's advised not to attempt this without proper consideration.
