SPELAB offers a wide range of DPF delete solutions for 2007–2023 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 trucks equipped with 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins diesel engines. Our product lineup includes:
-
DP-Back DPF Delete Pipes
-
DP-Back + Muffler + EGR Delete Kits
-
Turbo-Back Delete Systems
-
Exhaust Tips with Polished Finishes
-
DP-Back + EGR Delete Combos
These 6.7 Cummins DPF delete kits are designed for off-road and competition use, helping you remove factory-installed emissions restrictions like the DPF and DEF systems. By eliminating these components, you can significantly improve exhaust flow, reduce backpressure, and unlock hidden engine performance.
For example:
-
A Turbo-Back delete system can deliver up to 30–45 more horsepower.
-
The DP-Back delete pipe is ideal if you want better reliability and a more cost-effective upgrade path.
All kits are also compatible with 2018+ RAM DEF delete setups, giving you the freedom to eliminate DEF fill-ups and annoying check engine lights.
2. Pros and Cons of Deleting the DPF on Your 6.7 Cummins
Deleting the DPF system on your 2007–2023 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 6.7L Cummins comes with serious gains—but it’s important to weigh both the benefits and the trade-offs.
2.1 Pros of a 6.7 Cummins Delete:
-
More Power: Removing the DPF and DEF systems with a complete Cummins DPF delete kit unlocks horsepower and torque instantly.
-
Improved MPG: On average, drivers gain 2–5 more MPG after installing a DPF delete pipe on a 6.7 Cummins.
-
Lower Maintenance Costs: Say goodbye to clogged filters, DEF sensors, regen cycles, and $2,000+ dealership repairs.
-
Longer Engine Life: Less backpressure means less strain on your turbo and EGR system.
2.2 Cons to Consider:
-
Not Street Legal: DPF/DEF deletes are for off-road or competition use only. Running a deleted 6.7 Cummins on public roads may violate local emissions laws.
-
Tuning Required: A proper ECM tuner is essential. You can’t run a DPF delete pipe without disabling related codes and sensors.
-
Initial Cost: Full kits—including DP-Back systems and EGR delete kits—can be an investment, especially for newer 2019+ RAMs.
2.3 Which Setup Is Right for You?
For Daily Drivers (Off-Road Use Only):
- DP-Back + Muffler Kits – Maintain a quieter ride while gaining better flow and fuel economy.
- Recommended for 2012–2018 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins.
For Towing & Work Trucks:
- Turbo-Back Delete Kits – Maximize flow, reduce EGTs, and boost low-end torque.
- Best fit for 2010–2016 Ram 3500 6.7 Cummins used in heavy-duty conditions.
For Budget Builds or Older Models:
- Basic DPF Delete Pipe + EGR Delete – Affordable and reliable for 2007–2009 Cummins engines.
3. Performance Gains with a 6.7 Cummins DPF Delete Kit
Removing the DPF and DEF systems from your 6.7L Cummins can deliver real-world performance improvements—especially when paired with a quality DPF delete pipe and tuner setup.
Here’s what you can expect from a Cummins DPF delete:
-
Horsepower Boost: Gain 30–50 HP with a full DPF/DEF delete kit and tuner combo—especially noticeable on 2010–2018 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 models with the 6.7 Cummins engine.
-
Better Throttle Response: Feel the difference in acceleration and turbo spool, thanks to reduced backpressure.
-
Fuel Economy Increase: Many users report fuel savings of up to 15–20%, especially on deleted 2012–2016 RAM trucks used for towing or highway driving.
-
Lower EGTs (Exhaust Gas Temps): Reduce EGTs by up to 200°F, helping your Cummins run cooler under heavy loads.
Whether you're running a 2018 Cummins or a tuned 2007 6.7L Dodge Ram, these delete kits free up your engine’s true potential.
Installing a DPF delete pipe on a 6.7 Cummins also removes the need for DEF refills and stops regen cycles, which means less downtime and fewer trips to the dealer.

FAQ
Q1: Is a DPF delete kit for my 6.7 Cummins legal on public roads?
A1: No, all DPF and DEF delete kits are intended for off-road or race-use only. Removing emissions systems on registered street vehicles is prohibited under federal law in the U.S. Always check your local regulations before modifying your vehicle.
Q2: Will a DPF delete increase horsepower on my 2016 Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins?
A2: Yes. A properly tuned DPF delete pipe + EGR delete kit can increase power by 30–50 HP, improve turbo response, and reduce EGTs. Results vary based on engine condition and the combination used.
Q3: Can I install a DPF delete kit on my 2018 Ram Cummins by myself?
A3: Absolutely. With SPELAB’s bolt-on kits, detailed instructions, and install videos, many DIYers complete the job in 2–4 hours. Just make sure you have a proper tuner to disable DPF/DEF codes.
Q4: Do I need a tuner after installing a 6.7 Cummins delete pipe?
A4: Yes. You must use a tuner to disable the DPF/DEF and EGR system codes. Otherwise, the truck will enter limp mode and throw multiple CELs. SPELAB kits are designed to pair with popular tuners for seamless integration.
Q5: Will a deleted 6.7 Cummins sound louder?
A5: Yes. Once the DPF and muffler are removed, your truck will have a deeper, more aggressive exhaust tone. If you want a quieter setup, choose the DP-Back + Muffler kit to reduce cabin drone while maintaining power.
Q6: What if I have fitment issues or missing parts?
A6: SPELAB offers a fitment guarantee for all 2007–2023 Dodge Ram 6.7 Cummins DPF delete kits. Just contact our support team—we’ll make it right with replacements or fast troubleshooting.

As advertised works and looks great

Good stuff, love the kit. Installed it all myself under 6 hours. Now I need to find a way to keep the minimax from getting unplugged when I hit a bump

Easy to install, quality parts, and sound better than I expected. I would recommend these to others. Instructions are on line.

Intake horn is real nice, block off plate is real nice, gaskets are decent. I removed first 3 fuel lines and the cp3 line and had mine done in about 4hr by myself start to finish. 2012 Cummins. No cel, no issues. Took away a lot of the black smoking. Increased boost noticeably. Five stars.

Good fit, sounds awesome, definitely made a difference, hose clamps could be a little better, holes was off a little for the sensors, but for the price overall good product!

They have great customer service what I order was much better than what I was expecting to receive thank you for guys for everything

This was a very easy install, the parts seems to be good quality.

Great products, the updates and revisions to there parts show they care about making things better. 100% would buy all my parts from Spelab.

Directions were not good and there isn’t a heater bolt yet..but the product is great and you can’t beat the price. Happy with the product.

This is a good upgrade. I change the rear differential fluid frequently so now I will be able to drain and refill more easily. Easy install. No leaking. Hardware and gasket included. Very happy

I was impressed with the build quality. And very happy with the cover features: fill plug, drain plug, sight glass, nice paint, cooling fins and machined channels on the inside to direct fluid flow. I also put in some AMSOIL diff fluid. A winning combo. Love that gasket and premium hardware is included. A much better deal than the Banks cover. This cover will cool plenty abd direct fluids where it needs to go. I’m happy with my investment and highly recommend.

Fairly straight forward to install. My truck seems to be running and breathing a ton better.

Installed this billet version onto my 2019 Roush F150 recently. I wanted a cover that had the proper fluid flow vaning and fill and drain plugs to make future fluid changes easier, as I plan to renew the fluid every 30k miles. The sight glass so you can see the level and the condition of the fluid is also a great feature. I did quite a bit of research on which cover I wanted to install and saw the fluid flow issues with the square back covers, whereas this one has the proper curved design and vanes in it to direct the fluid that's coming over the top to the correct places of the differential for proper lubrication. I went with the billet one so that it's stronger than the lower priced cast version, as I keep my vehicles forever (20 years and 200k miles or more) and would rather do it right one time than have to do it again. The magnetic plugs to capture any ferrous gear wear is also a nice benefit. Installed with LubeLocker gasket.

Fit like crap. As did the down pipe. I got ppe ones and no refund from spelab

Fits very well and is really well constructed. Also looks really good installed in the truck!
