What Are The Benefits of EGR Delete?
An EGR delete can bring about several benefits. These include:
Improved Fuel Economy and Engine Longevity
An EGR delete helps you restore your diesel engine’s power levels which, in turn, also restores your overall fuel efficiency. Since an EGR delete kit sends the exhaust gas away from your car’s engine, it starts to run cleaner, too. Reduced Engine Temperature
EGR valves naturally contain a high content of soot. When the EGR system’s valve or coolers get clogged with soot, the exhaust gases start to circulate more around the system, resulting in a blockage. As a result, the temperatures around the engine rise and you experience a reduction in the engine’s power. However, when you bypass this, lower exhaust gas is produced. In turn, during operation, your vehicle experiences a reduced engine coolant temperature.

Kit came with all the needed hardware for the install.
The bracket needed a small bit of grinding to widen the opening where the crossover coolant tube fitting goes inside, very easy to do.

I was able to apply the kit with very few issues. Everything went smoothly. My only complaint was the instructions were not clear in several areas. For one, the updates to the tuner was not clear and I wasted several days with support to resolve. The instructions on the engine modifications were also not clear. For example, how to install the bracket took a bit of research.
However, I am very pleased with the results. The engine sounds better and has a lot more power.

Overall, great kit. Wish I would have ordered the can bus plugs at the same time. A few modifications were needed to make everything work but nothing too difficult if you can tackle this type of work to begin with.

With my old kit that kept leaking, an abnormal seal size and changed colors as the plastic got warm. I installed the Spelab kit and fits good and have the reassurance of the locking ring to keep it in.
